Director of Bands at Crockett Middle School. He holds a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of North Texas. While in college, he was in a variety of performing groups including the 5 O'clock Lab Band with Dan Miller on Lead Trumpet, the Green Brigade Marching Band, and Principal Trumpet in the Symphonic Band under the direction of Mr. Dennis Fisher.

His previous positions were as the Associate Director of Bands at Irving High School (1994-2020) and, Fort Worth ISD (1991-1994) as Director of Bands at Meacham MS.

Mr. Cornish has performed with various wind bands at various venues around the metroplex area. These groups were: The Richland Community Band and the Greater Fort Worth Community Band, under the direction of Henry Schraub, as well as the Metropolitan Winds with performances at The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and Bass Hall, directed by Randol Bass. He was also the Call to Post trumpet player for Trinity Meadows horse race track west of Fort Worth. There, he played the Star-Spangled Banner for every opening ceremony, Call to Post 3 times for every race, and Happy Trails at the closing of the race track, as fans were leaving.
